As Pastor Mark Varughese said in one of his sermons, we can have all the fruit of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control) when we are alone. Oftentimes it is when we are surrounded by people that these qualities leave us!
I have always considered myself to be a relatively easy going and patient person, till I gave birth to Kyle. Somehow, we have this relationship that tests every ounce of my patience. The Bible says, “In your anger, do not sin”. I know it when it reaches tipping point.. I have a choice in that split second, to give in to anger or to walk away.
I am work in progress. So are my kids. Today I lost a battle. It is not me against him, but it is me against my emotions.
Tomorrow is a new day.
